Why Peace Corps?

First let me answer another question...why this page:

1.)I'm a terrible journalist, I've lost every diary I've ever kept, so it might be better to keep one online.
2.) I would like to track this journey because it is the first journey that I have wholeheartedly chosen for me. Joining the Peace Corps is what I want to do, without care or regard for anyone's expectations of me or responsibilities placed on me
3.) Should I be blessed enough to experience the Peace Corps, I would like to keep my family && friends updated on my life <--&& I'd appreciate their ongoing comments and feedback =)

this blog is titled faith is my only factor. I'm not deterred by all of the potential doubts one can have by embarking into such an unknown and individualized experience; I will faithfully see this journey through.

I enjoy serving other people and sharing life with them. I love sharing my skills and knowledge in order to help people shift their perspective and create an upward trajectory for their life. I've always wanted to be in a space where time could move a little slower so that conversations would become more meaningful and I would develop a greater appreciation for another culture. The Peace Corps allows me to have all of these things and I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to spend the next 27 months in the Dominican Republic!
